Within the contest CUERPOS HOT I met many interesting people, it was an experience for me never before lived and of which I told a little more in an earlier post; but something that I had told them is that during the main activities of the contest I wore pure Dominican design, if, in our country, the Dominican Republic there are excellent designers with the capacity to exhibit themselves on the main runways of the world, but unfortunately they do not always receive the support that could drive them to this. I feel sorry for that!
Through the collaboration of (Maeño) Carlos de Moya I had the opportunity to dress several pieces of it, this has always been inspired by his roots (he told me during the fitting) having the joy of designing his own prints and present themselves on international catwalks, his latest collections Zonero soy and Caribbean sunset were my favorite and of which along with Eddy Gómez as a stylist we selected about 5 pieces, they were perfect for my next location (country house) and more importantly for my style, in them I was reflected with that sensuality that does not precisely mean clothes adjusted to the body, that freedom from the vaporous fabrics and the fun of their cuts, is like when they think of you doing something.
The reason why I decided to do this is that as a Dominican and former student of fashion design I understand that we should support our, our country brand in terms of fashion, maybe remove the SHIP from fast fashion and start to consume local design; brands like Coconut swimwear and Gianinna Azar were also present in my looks for this experience that I lived by the hands of the beautiful Luz García.
How were the looks? I’d better show you; enjoy it…
